What We're Thankful For

It’s Thanksgiving Eve 2021 and Doulas of Raleigh Co-Owners Kelly and Heather can’t help but be filled with gratitude for so many things. Take a look at some of the things…some silly, some not… we are most thankful for this year.

  1. Our Amazing Team of Doulas….seriously, we could not support as many families and do it so well without the backing of a strong team. We are so thankful for all 16 of our amazing doulas…whether supporting laboring clients, helping families adjust to the newborn stage, or furthering their knowledge at team meetings…we are confident that we have the BEST doulas in the Triangle on the Doulas of Raleigh Team.

  2. Ted Lasso….if you know Heather or Kelly you know they are both HUGE Ted Lasso fans. Doula is Iife! BELIEVE!

  3. The very BEST clients. Seriously, we don’t know how it happens but we end up with clients who are just generally amazing humans. We know how vulnerable people can feel during labor and in the postpartum stage. and it’s just such a huge honor to be invited into this precious space. We love it even more when clients inevitably turn into friends.

  4. Noodle the Pug (@showmenoodz). What did we ever do before The Great Oracle deemed the day as a “Bones Day” or a “No Bones Day”? (Today is a Bones Day, btw).

  5. I bet you thought we had forgotten to mention coffee….NEVER! Coffee is what keeps Kelly and Heather moving. Plus, it’s delicious AND keeps your hands warm on a chilly morning.

  6. While Kelly and Heather are work-wives for life and each other’s life doulas….we really could not run the company without the support from our own amazing families. Our partners and kids may not love it when we have to make yet another phone call or go to yet another meeting, but they are the most understanding people in the world. They often end up taking a backseat when the business tries to take over our lives. We are going to show gratitude for them this year by NOT working at all over Thanksgiving and the weekend after. So, if you call or email us just now we will get back to you on Monday.

We hope you enjoyed reading all about what we are thankful for this year. Take some time this Thanksgiving season to reflect on all the good things in your life. Gratitude is a good look for everyone!
