As doulas, we serve our clients in many ways. We provide physical support such as hands-on comfort measures during labor or by holding a sleeping baby so parents can nap. We hold hands, wipe brows, and physically give our clients a shoulder to lean on. But we do so much more than that. We provide educational and emotional support. We are the listening ear when fears need to be expressed. We are the calming voice when anxiety takes hold.

As doulas, our over-arching goal is to build our clients’ strength and confidence and reduce any fear and anxiety they may be experiencing. And if you are not comfortable with in-person support yet, you can still benefit from the virtual support of a doula!

These are overwhelming and uncertain times and we want you to know that you do not have to experience birth and postpartum alone. With our virtual services, we will still be there for you - to answer questions, provide guidance, share educational resources, and, most importantly, give you the emotional support that you need during this trying time.

Virtual Birth Doula Support

We understand that even as our state begins re-opening, not every one will be comfortable with in-person support. If that is you, that is okay and we support you. And we understand how important it is for pregnant and laboring parents to still have support during this time.

This is why we have developed a virtual birth doula package that enables us to continue providing the same level of educational and emotional support to clients, as well as to be virtually present throughout labor and delivery.

Our virtual birth doula package includes:

  • 2 prenatal consults, conducted through our secure online platform, to discuss birth options and preferences, review tips for early labor, extensively discuss comfort measures, and suggest positions during different stages of labor

  • Unlimited email, text, and phone support from the moment of contract signing throughout your pregnancy

  • Virtual, continuous presence from the onset of labor through the birth of your baby, during which your doula will be available to answer questions, make suggestions, help you think through decisions, and give the birthing person and the birthing partner emotional support

  • 2 postpartum virtual consults to check in on the birthing person to discuss postpartum healing and recovery, process the birth, discuss the early days of infant feeding, and make referrals to any care that may be needed that is outside the scope of a doula

You are not in this alone. Our knowledge, our expertise, and our calming voice are still available. Reach out to us today to learn how our virtual birth doulas can support you during this time.

Virtual Postpartum & Infant Feeding Support

We understand how critical support and connection are during the postpartum period. And given the current guidelines, we believe that connection and support is more critical than ever. You still need answers when it comes to learning your new baby. You still need support and help when it comes to establishing infant feeding. And, maybe even more now than ever, you still need a safe, nonjudgmental shoulder to lean on when things seem overwhelming.

If you are more comfortable connecting with people virtually right now, we can still be here for you.

In order to continue providing support for our postpartum clients no matter what their comfort level, we are now offering virtual, hourly consults to assist with all things postpartum and infant feeding. These consults can help with:

  • Troubleshooting breastfeeding issues such as latch, positioning, and other basic questions

  • Assisting with setting up breast pumps, establishing pumping routines, and answering other “how to” pumping questions

  • Providing guidance and education with formula feeding as well as other infant feeding questions

  • Education on basic infant care, including demonstrations on soothing, comforting, bathing, and diapering

  • Providing information and resources to assist you with your physical postpartum recovery

  • Focusing on your emotional well-being by providing a safe, judgment-free space to talk, process, and connect

Even in a perfect world, new parenthood can sometimes feel overwhelming and isolating. But especially now, we want to make sure that our clients get the support, guidance, assurance, and connection they deserve and need for a healthy postpartum period. Virtual Comfort Measures Class

If you want to focus on ways to manage labor and birth, this class is the perfect option for you! We will go through our ABCs of Comfort Measures with you during this class and discuss which comfort measures are most helpful at each stage of labor. This is a great class for partners and for second (or more!) time parents who want a refresher course. This class is also a great way for a labor and delivery nurse to add to their skill set for supporting laboring patients.
