Recipe: Our Favorite Dairy-Free Smoothie

It’s been awhile since we’ve shared a recipe with you and I’m feeling almost guilty for keeping all of this deliciousness to myself. We know a lot of our clients are dairy-free, especially if they are dealing with allergies in their breastfed babies, and it can be a challenge to find yummy recipes that fit that criteria. But the mix of oat milk and avocado make this smoothie so creamy and good that you won’t miss that dairy at all.

I enjoy this smoothie for breakfast most mornings or also sometimes as a special treat - it’s that good! So without further ado, here is our Dairy-Free Chocolate Avocado Smoothie recipe.

Dairy-Free Chocolate Avocado Smoothie

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 large banana

  • 1/2 ripe avocado

  • 1 c. oat milk (trust me on this one - go with the oat milk over almond or soy just because it is so thick and creamy)

  • 2 tsp raw cacao powder

  • 2-3 tbsp dairy free protein powder (optional)

  • 4-5 ice cubes

Throw all ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
